INETERVIEW:
1. How did you come up with ideas for your books?
Personal interests including spiritual practices; a love for conspiracy theories (I’ve got a few of my own); reading magazines, books and watching movies; current events including political and social constructs and relating them to conspiracy theories; listening to and observing other people.
2. What would you want your readers to know about you that might not be in your bio?
I love to sing. I can’t sing but I’ve got no problem belting out lyrics and having sing alongs with my twin boys while driving. At the moment they’re into Queen and Tom Petty. We wave to people who are watching us.
3. As far as your writing goes, what are your future plans?
Complete the Beyond the Chamber Doorseries (nine books total), and complete the trilogy I’m currently working on, The Indigo Trials.
4. If you could be one of the characters from any of your books, who would it be and why?
I’d be the chaperone in Presenting the Marriage. I love taking people on spiritual journeys into darkness and helping to guide them into the light.
5. Do you outline your books or just start writing?
No outline but I take notes prior to and during the writing process for consistency and future editing purposes.
6. Do you have any hobbies and does the knowledge you've gained from these carry over into your characters or the plot of your books?
I read a lot about quantum physics, astrology and spiritual practices including mindfulness, meditation and theology. They’re all kind of the same thing if you look at them with wide eyes. I’m also a hypnotist and enjoy studying and learning about the brain, conscious thought, belief systems and the power of mind over matter. Yes, these hobbies and interests carry over into the characters and story plots, I always add spiritual and scientific themes to my stories.
7. Do you have an all time favorite book?
Frankensteinby Mary Shelley.
8. Have you started your next project? If so, can you share a little bit about your book?
I’m currently wriitng book four in the series, The Rose. It’s a dystopian sci-fi set at the tale end of World War III. The rose is a meditation used by alchemists. Alchemy is the ability to transform chemical structures. Also a useful tool when battling alien vampires. The Roseis a prelude to a triloogy titled The Indigo Trialswhich will be released next year. After The Rose, I’ll be writing book four in this series about a 1940’s New York socialite whose sculpture comes to life after a break up with the love of her life. Think Frankensteinmeets My Fair Lady. Title is Golem, a psychologial supernatural thriller. I have nine books planned in the Beyond the Chamber DoorSeries.
9. Who is your favorite actor and actress?
Actor: Leo Dicaprio, although Tom Hardy is a very close second
Actress: Nicole Kidman, although Jennifer Lawrence seems to be taking over.
10. Can you tell us a little bit about what it was like to write a series.
It’s fantastic. I’ve always loved movie trilogies as a kid, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Godfather and later on reading Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games series. Writing a series allows for larger character development and so many more conflicts and resolutions. Life never stops at the end of one tale; we all lead multiple lives and take many journeys over our life span. There’s always so much more for characters to go through and explore. And I enjoy the challenge of connecting the dots between the stories.
11. Anything else you might want to add?
Yes, thank you for hosting and supporting indie authors with a great platform to showcase new literature. I’m grateful for the support and for the people who’ve visited today. I hope everyone has enjoyed the post.

EXCERPT:
She was reluctant to climb those stairs. The thin stairway to the third floor, dark and gloomy, held inside it an ascent to a new life.
Kelli Anne had a feeling in her gut.
Your world’s about to change.
Her breath was heavy and constricted. She pursed her lips to force the air down into her lungs.
Whatever was beyond that door, she did not know.
Perhaps I want no part in it.
In her mind, she saw goblins and devils jumping up and down inside that room, in some devilish parade of victory. A sinister face, thin, long with a goatee and dark, black eyes, stood prominent in her mind.
She stood at the bottom of the stairs, unmoving.
Something in the air coming from the top of the stairs, simply frightening and unknown, dark and contemptuous, wanted nothing of her presence
Where is your husband, Mrs. Denemer?
She ascended, the air turning thick, like struggling through a vat of jelly. She pushed through it, climbing the staircase and pushing forward. Her jaw quivering, her hand on the doorknob.
It was locked.
Only, she’d removed the lock a few days ago, when concern over Gerri’s wellbeing had pushed her to take dire precautions.
She tried again.
Locked.
She coughed through the thick air, now like billowing smoke in her throat.

P.D. Alleva is an author, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist specializing in trauma, addiction and mental health. He is the author of several books, including fiction novels, Indifference and A Billion Tiny Moments In Time…, Seriously Twisted; These Gods of Darkness (Poetry), Let Your Soul Evolve (1st and 2nd ed), and Spiritual Growth Therapy: Philosophy, Practices and Mindfulness Workbook (non-fiction). He has developed behavioral protocols for addiction and mental health and teaches mindfulness, Buddhist meditations and manifestation techniques to his patients as a means and alternative to using pharmaceuticals.
