Like most of the country, winter arrived
early with snow, ice and frosty mornings. Since we don’t experience ice or snow very
often driving to work was a slippery challenge. As I passed the snow covered
farms along the way they looked so tranquil compared to my anxiety about
driving.
Every year we have a tradition of going to a Christmas tree
farm to cut our tree. Generally this is a long process as we struggle to agree
which is the perfect tree. This year we had fun looking for trees in 20 degree
weather, needless to say we found the right one in record time. All the trees
had a covering of snow, natures flocking. Then we went home and enjoyed a mug of hot
chocolate with the grand kids.
The elves in the Indra household are busy putting the
finishing touches on several last minute gifts and looking forward to spending
Christmas Day with the family.
As the year draws to a close I put
the struggles of this year behind me and look forward to a brighter New Year.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

The book I’m
featuring this week is A Wife for Jay Prescott.
From the moment Jay Prescott meets
his new employee Lillian Ross, she turns his orderly life upside down. He is
captivated by her take charge attitude and shapely legs. To improve his grandmother’s
morale after breaking her hip, he asks Lilli to pretend to be his girlfriend
for two weeks. Their friendship grows and he realizes he wants a lifelong
relationship with Lilli.
Lillian is attracted to her handsome
boss despite his unsettled lifestyle. Remembering her own loving grandmother,
she agrees to portray his girlfriend. Her attraction turns to love and she
longs for Jay to see their relationship in a new light. When Lilli tells his
grandmother the truth, she has her own plans for Jay and Lilli.
