I've been intensely designing covers lately. Finished a couple today. Have a couple more in the pipeline. And a number of others waiting to be drafted.
But right now, I want to celebrate those finished covers. I want to bask in the feeling of having a happy author and a cover I'm really pleased with--times two or three or more!
But how to celebrate a product that won't be out for several months? I don't want to steal the author's thunder before they have a chance to decide how they want to do a cover reveal. Or take away from the actual release of the book.
Well, in addition to sharing some previous covers I've designed (in the slide show at the top of this page), I was thinking of ways to quietly celebrate.
--Eat chocolate, always one of my favorites. :)
--Toast to the success of the author and book with my favorite smoothie.
--Take a break and read something from my quite lengthy to-be-read list.
--Snuggle in with my doggies on this rainy day.
--Play some of my favorite oldie songs.
And maybe even work on more covers...
