Persistent Song

There was a cool breeze when I was outside today. Great change from the stifling heat we've been having. I'm looking forward to fall and the Oregon rain.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a technical person. However, I'm starting to follow my children's advice. You can Google anything.
You know when you have a song stuck in your head it can take a day or two to get the one verse you remember off your mind. Will I've a a book in my head. The opening scene pops up every once in a while and of course that's all I can remember.
So back to Google. I decided to take two brothers drawing straws for a wife (all I can remember of the book) to the internet. I think I finally found the book that keeps nagging at me. Short Straw Bride by Dallas Schulze. I bought the book on Ebay hoping a read through will keep the opening scene from repeat in my head.
Besides It's a Small World is there a song (or book) that keeps you singing throughout the day?
