Lights, camera... ACTION!

The minute you decide to become a writer and let more than just your family know, you have sealed your fate. You can never again screw up writing or texting. It's expected you will have knowledge of all those icky English things most others ignored in English 101.

While most of us know this isn't true, the rest of the world doesn't. So... check your emails twice before hitting the send button. Reread your answer to someone or the post you were going to deliver to the whole world. If your writing in simple places such as these is -- catastrophic -- why would anyone want to buy a book you wrote? Even if you tell them you have an editor and a proofer, they'll wonder why you can't type a simple note, after all, you're a writer.

This is ESPECIALLY true of your website. Look it over then look it over again. Then have a friend look it over. Whether we writers like it or not, we have opted to stand naked in front of the world.
We best like what we see because our sales may depend on it.

Check and double check. Your chosen passion is words. Spell them right [or is that rite?].
