Wednesday What If...

Santorini Greece

What if you could travel anywhere in the world any time you wanted? If you could, where would you go? Of course the time of year might make a difference. We have all heard the phrase Paris in the spring. Personally, I would love to go to Paris anytime. I was there a couple of years ago in June/July. It was beautiful, the weather a little rainy but otherwise nice. We took the train to Versaille and bought an umbrella before we walked to the palace.

So for starters:
1. Athens/Santorini/Crete/Albania: this one is a trip in planning. In the fall of course.
2. Figi: A nice exotic place and it's warm. This time of year I love warm.
3. Scotland: I would love to go back to Loch Ranoch.
4. I would like to take a drive up the Natchez Trace in the fall
5. New York: right now it is always on my list.
6. Victoria:  reminiscing the past

  1. --OK, adding Santorini, Greece to my wish list. This photo is beautiful!
--Also gotta agree with a tropical island. I want my own!
--I've also seen a photo of a castle in Idaho that is gorgeous. (Yes, the state Idaho.) If I remember correctly, the castle is "next door" to a ski area and was decorated for Christmas. The lights positively glowed against the snow at twilight. Would love to spend the holidays there!
--Of course, Scottish castles would be interesting too. :)
--Have also seen some pictures of Mexican villas that are beautiful.
--New England in the fall is always a temptation.
--The San Juan Islands have also had a lure for me.

And one of my most memorable trips was driving down the Oregon coast when my kids were in elementary school. We stopped whenever we saw something that looked interesting. It was great!

Nowadays, though, I like to stay with my herd of doggies. So my travel is limited to looking at photos and reading about wonderful places. That way I can be home to serve my canine crew their next meal. :)

  3. Hi, Jackie! Glad you stopped by again! I think if I was in NY for Christmas, I'd want to stay through New Year's to see the ball drop in Times Square. Not sure how I'd do with all those people, but it would be an experience to remember!
