During this month of holiday celebrations, I'm going to do something different for "Everyday Miracles." One of my books, THE BODYGUARD, was described as a "feel-good Christmas story" by my first editor. That book is also available as a free download every Monday until Christmas (thanks to my wonderful publisher, Rogue Phoenix Press!). So I'm going to offer excerpts from THE BODYGUARD that illustrate those miracles. (This book and all my Rock'n'Romance trilogy are available for the special holiday price of 99 cents through December 31.)
Hope you enjoy the excerpts and the free download on Mondays!
Now Julia was even more puzzled. She was definitely missing the point her children were trying to make. "If the dog belongs to Mitch, how does that make Gabe an angel’s dog?"
The twins whispered to each other, but didn’t answer Julia’s question.
A suspicion was forming in Julia’s mind, but she didn’t want to plant any fanciful notions in the twins’ heads. "Why are the two of you talking about angels so much?"
Abraham and Angelina looked at each other. Angelina finally broke the silence. "Grandma’s video said an angel will come if you put a feather under your pillow and pray."
"So we did," Abraham said.
"And he’ll go away if you tell," Angelina said.
"Who will go away?" Julia asked.
"The angel," Abraham said.
"Mitch," Angelina said at the same time.
"Ah." This answer confirmed Julia’s suspicion. "So you think Mitch is the angel you wished for?"
The twins nodded.
