I hate the part of a new job where people ask you to, "tell us about yourself." What the heck am I supposed to say? Do they want to hear what has really happened in my life, or are they expecting some fairy tale story of how I pulled myself up by the boot straps?
I'm not much of a showoff. It really is one of the reasons I write. I can have impressive, smart, good looking characters accomplish what I can not.
However, I took a leap of blind faith to do my part in promoting an event my publisher set for me. I advertised through a very well known social media site. The response has been much more than I expected. I can only hope it will translate into readers discovering my books as they are featured on Bargainbooksy.com starting tomorrow and going through the weekend.
